These beautiful souls invited me into their home in the city and went above and beyond to make me feel welcome and happy. Jess and Blake are two of the kindest loves and we took photos all over San Francisco that day, starting with some delicious morning coffee and pancakes, of course. I'm over the moon to head back to California next month for their wedding at Headlands Center for the Arts!
These two had the sweetest backyard wedding at Chrysalis Farms in Damascus, Oregon complete with homemmade pies and a giant handmade Jenga set! Getting to know Emma and Aaron in the months leading up to their wedding was a pleasure and I'm so happy to call them friends. Congratulations, lovebirds!
Oh, those midwest summers! It was am epic summer day and the air was thick with humidity in Burlington when Melissa and TJ tied the knot. They braved the heat like champions and happily explored rooftops and warehouses before saying "I do." The pure joy and tenderness I felt between the two of them was a sweet treat to behold and I loved spending the day celebrating their union. Ladies and gentlemen, Melissa and TJ.
Holy moly was this wedding AWESOME! Madeline and Jacob chose to get married in the backyard of Madeline's childhood home in the small coastal town of Long Beach, WA and let me tell you, this wedding was BURSTING with genuine love and character! There was something incredibly nostalgic about the bride getting ready in her childhood bedroom with walls still covered in posters, photos, and teenage relics as though she'd never been away. I began having immediate flashbacks to sleepovers with my best girlfriends growing up - the ones where you're too busy giggling at 3:00am to fall asleep. So fun!
With an entire family dedicated to gardening, the backyard felt like something straight out of a novel with green tendrils climbing up and over things, pink poppies in great abundance (the namesake for the local bakery Madeline owns - Pink Poppy Bakery!), lilies, and a million other flowering/edible plants that I won't be able to name. We took some magical photos inside a greenhouse that that bride and groom built themselves (!!) and made it a point to walk down to the beach since the ocean has played a special role in their lives. As the guests began arriving it felt like all of of Long Beach had shown up to catch a glimpse of the town sweetheart on her wedding day. These guys made my job easy! With the incredible attention paid to DIY decorations that made the day feel truly unique to their love, I felt like all I had to do was show up for the ride. Thank you so much Madeline and Jacob for including me in something I felt lucky to be part of. I'm very grateful to have made many new friends along the way.
